Invitation
It is our great pleasure to convey our invitation to Warsaw, the capital city of Poland. We organize a 67 EUROCONSTRUCT Conference. The meeting will take place on June 4 and 5th.
On behalf of the Euroconstruct and the PAB-PCR&F Institute, the organiser of the 67th Euroconstruct Conference in Warsaw, I have the pleasure to invite you to attend the Warsaw Conference.
The subject of the conference will be the prospects of the European construction development till 2011 and impact of the world financial crisis on the construction markets in the geographical and segment approach.
The Conference creates outstanding opportunity for various construction associations to exchange the views and present the opinions on the crisis in the European construction.
The morning session of the Warsaw Conference will be devoted to the prospects for the European Construction Markets in 2009-2011.
The morning session of the conference will consist of 5 presentations providing forecasts and analysis of the European construction markets in this year as well as in 2010 and 2011. After the opening of the conference, the first session will be focused on the macroeconomic situation in the 19 European countries covered by the Euroconstruct network. Thereafter, prospects for the various European construction markets (housing, non-residential buildings and civil engineering) will be given. The morning session will be concluded with a summary outlook for the European construction markets.
The afternoon session of the Summer Conference will deal with the crisis in the European construction market.
In recent months, construction market activity has declined sharply in a number of European countries. The effects of the financial crisis on European construction will be evaluated and State and governmental activities aimed at limiting the damage to construction markets in particular countries will be discussed. The activity of the European Commission and the role of EU cohesion funds in mitigating the negative effects of the economic slowdown on construction in Central-Eastern EU countries will also be presented. The afternoon session will focus on the conditions needed and possibilities forthcoming of overcoming the crisis in the European construction market.
A welcome evening will take place on Thursday and on Saturday a sight-seeing tour is planned at which delegates will be able to share experiences and take the views on Euroconstruct members on an informal basis.
We will be delighted to welcome you to Warsaw on 4-5 June 2009, and we invite you to return the registration form attached to the enclosed programme to confirm your participation in the conference and to reserve your copies of the reports published for this event.
